MONITORING REFORMS LOCALLY: SOCIAL COHESION AND YOUTH POLICIES

On the 17th April 2019, Local Democracy Agency Zavidovići organized the event “Monitoring reforms locally - best practice becomes our practice” within the project Regional Youth Compact for Europe. The topic was social cohesion and youth policy – the role of local institutions in implementation of EU standards and policies and role of CSOs in monitoring reforms.

The event was attended by local institutions, youth representatives and students, civil society organizations and media.

After brief introduction by moderator Elmin Fehrić, student of the Philosophy Faculty in Zenica and Network of Student Councils in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmin Mehić, youth worker from LDA Zavidovići, presented the Project „Youth Compact for Europe“. Daut Bajramović, OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina National Programme Officer, presented recently adopted Action plan of social cohesion in municipality of Zavidovići. Youth expert from Zavidovići municipality Muamer Hrvić, spoke about youth participation and their cooperation with municipality through implementation of „Youth policy strategy“. Slađan Ilić, LDA Zavidovići delegate spoke about civil society involvement in monitoring EU accession and EU Integration Processes in the Western Balkan and presented results  of the comparative study.

The discussion developed on the possibilities of more active inclusion of young people, associations, programs for young people and ways of realizing their ideas.

The project Regional Youth Compact for Europe represents the initiative of the 14 Western Balkan organizations and its aim is to strengthen youth civil society organizations in monitoring process of the EU accession and aims to bring these processes closer to the citizens.

The Platform for Dialogue “Monitoring reforms locally - best practice, becomes our practice” is organized in the framework of the project “Regional youth compact for Europe” implemented by the Center for Democracy Foundation, Balkan Network for Local Democracy, CRTA, Youth Act and Sodem. This project is funded by the European Union and the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

LOKALNI MONITORING REFORMI U ZAVIDOVIĆIMA – DRUŠTVENA KOHEZIJA I OMLADINSKA POLITIKA

U Zavidovićima je dana 17. aprila 2019. godine u održana platforma za dijalog pod nazivom „Lokalni monitoring reformi – dobra praksa postaje naša praksa“ u okviru projekta Mladi Balkana za Evropu.

Tema događaja je bila društvena kohezija i omladinska politika – uloga lokalnih vlasti u implementaciji evropskih standarda i politika i uloga organizacija civilnog društva u monitoringu reformi.

Na sastanku su prisustvovali predstavnici općine, nevladinog i međunarodnog sektora, medija, kao i 25 učenika i studenata.

Nakon uvodnih obraćanja moderatora Elmina Fehrića, prezentovanje projekta „Mladi Balkana za Evropu“ imao je Jasmin Mehić, saradnik za mlade iz ALD-a Zavidovići. Nedavno je usvojen akcioni plan društvene povezanosti na Općini Zavidovići a o toj inicijativi govorio je Daut Bajramović, predstavnik regionalnog ureda OSCE-a u BiH. Stručni saradnik za mlade iz Općine Zavidovići Muamer Hrvić, govorio je o uključivanju mladih i njihovoj suradnji sa Općinom Zavidovići kroz implementaciju Strategije omladinske politike. Slađan Ilić, delegat ALD-a Zavidovići, je imao riječ o učešću civilnog društva u praćenju pristupanja EU i procesima integracije u EU na Zapadnom Balkanu kroz prezentaciju komparativne studije.

Diskusija se razvila o mogućnostima aktivnijeg uključivanja mladih, udruženjima, programima za malde te načinima ostvarivanja svojih ideja.

Projekat „Mladi Balkana za Evropu“ predstavlja inicijativu 14 organizacija sa Zapadnog Balkana i Turske koja ima za cilj da ojača omladinske organizacije u praćenju procesa pristupanja EU te da te procese približe građanima.

Platforma za dijalog „Lokalni monitoring reformi – dobra praksa postaje naša praksa“ je organizovana u okviru projekta „Mladi Balkana za Evropu“ koji implementira Fondacija Centar za demokratiju, Balkanska mreža lokalne demokratije - BNLD, CRTA, SODEM i YOUTH ACT a finansiran je od EU i Balkan Trust for Democracy.
